Creative Producer
As a creative producer, I conceive of or inherit a concept and can make it a reality. This can involve generating ideas, assembling the right team, securing resources, programming and whatever else towards seeing the project through to the end.
I have the necessary knowledge of each aspect of the process and how to make ideas become a reality. It’s also a matter of knowing where our expertise ends and when and where to work with others – experts in their field – to ensure the project is a success.
Let me know if you would like to discuss ideas over a coffee or a phone chat.
Project Manager
Project managers have the responsibility for the planning, procurement and execution of a project, in any undertaking that has a defined scope, defined start and a defined finish; regardless of industry.
My expertise happens to be in creative/arts projects, events and festivals, where an adaptable approach (allowing for change at any moment) is a key attribute – but the principles are much the same across any industry. I’m open to bringing my creativity to whichever sector you operate within.
So if you need a project sorted, get in touch.
Event Consultant
Having devised and delivered a range of events has meant ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event has been marketed effectively.
I recognise that events can play a huge part in the perception and success of a brand, a place or an organisation. I can provide advice about the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event, working as a team and carrying out the post-event evaluation. And if I don’t know the best way to do something for you then I’ll know someone who does.
Whatever the event you have in mind, I’d be happy to help.
Project Safety & Emergency Planning
Institute of Occupational Safety & Health
The IOSH Managing Safely course gives managers and leaders a comprehensive understanding of risks and hazards in the workplace.
The course included best practice with regards assessing risks, controlling risks, understanding my responsibilities as a manager, identifying hazards, investigating accidents/incidents and measuring safety performance.

HM Government Emergency Planning College
As part of the Cabinet Office Civil Contingencies Secretariat, this course promotes good practice in developing Emergency Planning at Festivals & Mass Gatherings.
It focuses on building resilience by developing competence, capable teams and resilient organisations. This added to my skills to identify, prevent & manage a range of disruptive challenges and to adapt to risks and opportunities.
I have also attended the NaCTSO ‘Project Argus’ Major Events counter terrorism simulation exercise.

Institute of Leisure
& Amenity Management
Their course on Understanding Crowd Dynamics included an introduction to crowd science, crowd risks (public and professional perceptions), analysis and real time crowd size estimation.
Common pedestrian behaviours in crowds such as group formation, self-organization, leader/follower effect, queue formation and bottleneck conditions all have substantial influence on the behaviour of crowds.

Professional Development
Clore Leadership
The Clore Fellowship aims to develop and strengthen leadership potential across the cultural and creative sectors. The programme I attended helped me to understand and develop my leadership strengths, provided space to challenge prevalent ideas and beliefs and also to develop confidence in my leadership style and potential for impact.
Clore commissions research and encourages provocation pieces from a rich variety of sources, keeping abreast of leadership knowledge and opinion.

Royal Society of Arts
The RSA Fellowship is an inclusive global community committed to finding better ways of thinking, acting and provoking change.
RSA Fellows have been at the forefront of significant social impact for over 250 years.
I was invited to become an RSA Fellow during my time working in Essex devising innovative cultural programmes and my contribution to an RSA initiative that aimed to empower local citizens in the development of the public realm.
